Linear speed is the distance moved by an object per unit time. If the speed or direction is changing, speed is the limit of the ratio (distance/time) as the time interval becomes very short. The dimensions used for linear speed are length/time, such as meters per second (m/s).
Rotational or angular speed (V) is the rate that the object is rotating about some axis. It is measured in radians per second.
The angular speed of a point on a rotating body, usually written as omega, is the linear speed of that point (in a nonrotating coordinate system fixed at the center of rotation), divided by the distance of that point from the axis of rotation, R.
The two kind of speed are related by
Omega = V/R
