Question

Mouse droppings in the kitchen sink and a dead mouse in the trap greeted me as I came home from Thanksgiving break. Unfortunately, I had left some dishes and cups in the sink, some of which have mouse droppings on them. Will washing these items in the dishwasher be enough to decontaminate whatever potential diseases may be found in the mouse poop or do I need to just throw the exposed stuff out?

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 29

Already Tried:
I live in Philly near a large park, so I am not sure if the mouse is the common house mouse or a deer mouse.

No, washing them is fine. Actually if you have some bleach there, just put a small amount of bleach in the water, a cap full actually. Let them soak a few minutes, wash and rinse ... good as new..

Congrats.. at least you go the little guy/gal.

Hope this helps.
