JUST INSTALLED TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER CASE DIDNT DO ANY INTERNALE WORK TO TRANSFER CASE (I THINK) SPEEDOMETER WORKED FOR JUST A FEW MIN. i TOOK CABLE BACK LOOSE MOVED CABLE N SIDE AND IT MOVED INSIDE GAUGE. TOOK SMALL SCREW DRIVER AND TRIED TO MOVE WERE CABLEINSERTED BUT IT SEEMED LOCKED UP. WILL THE PART WERE CABLE HOOKS TO TRANS FER CASE REMOVE WITHOUT PULLING HOLE TRANSFER CASE

Hello XXXXXXXXXX,
Yes,you should be able to unbolt the speedometer gear adapter & slide it out of the case.It should have an o-ring about half way down,twist to loosen it & pull out.

SO YOU ARE SAYING TAKE THE BOLT THAT HOLDS THE CLIP ON UNDO CABLE AND PULL THE PIECE OUT? IT NOT TREADED OR ANYTHING? AND I DON'T QUIET UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE HALF WAY AND TWIST PART.

No it is not threaded,it is a smooth fit & the o-ring is so there is no grease leak.Twist it from side to side to loosen it up & then pull it out
