Thanks for your quick response. I have spent about two hours trying to find a way to turn on the Bluetooth on the laptop.
Pushing the BT button on the computer yields a message "No Bluetooth Device".
I have consulted the manual(s) and followed the indicated procedure several times.
When utilizing control panel/bluetooth devices I reach the screen containing the "Bluetooth settings" button, which indicates it will launch " the radio control UI for Bluetooth". Choosing this button yeilds no results whatsoever.
The BT on the BB is on.
I hope this helps to define the issue a little more clearly.

No, just a "hot button". The paperwork indicated it does have BT "antennea" at the least.

I tried removing the cover(s)< but the plastic is so thin I am afraid to break the thing in pieces. I'll just have to live with it.
