comes on and off while driving shows to be in 2wd the message come up on the display screen

Ok, this is almost always a bad sensor in the shifter on the side of the transfer case. HERE are instructions to replace that sensor. I would have the code from the transfer case module to confirm this code, which is C0327.

i also had two new tires on the front that complety wore down to the steel on just the inside like new on the rest of the tire would this have benn related in any way tie rods ujoints are all good thought it met have to do with the lower ball joints

It is more likely a bad alignment.

when they put on the new tires they were to do that and it was not out of alinement.

no these were 2nd or third set it has about 160thousand miles

OK, The only reason for the tires to wear like that is a bad alignment or the tires not being rotated. The upper ball joints would cause this, but any tech worth his/her salt always checks the front suspension when doing an alignment.

thats what i'm think is the problem i dont thing they checked that i think when I change out the encoder sensor I''ll check and replace the ball joint the upper is the one that would effect the inside not the lower? At 160 thousand they r probally due the have the alinement checked by some one else

The lower usually do not cause that much of an alignment issue.
