Just a hopeful simple fix: My wife has a HP laptop that all of a sudden WILL NOT connect to the internet. We have a wireless setup @ the house with Comcast al lother 3 laptops still connect. When we try to log on it says (page cannot be displayed) when you go in My computer and or networks it says connected but it really isn't, any suggestions, i did try cntrl, alt delete, and the imfamous removing the battery. THANKS

control, alt delete, and removing the batery and rebooting

Hi there,

Lets give this solution a try:

Press the Windows Key + R
Type in: devmgmt.msc
Press Ok

Click Network Adapters
Find your wireless adapter and right click on it. Then choose "Uninstall or Remove"
Then shut down the computer

Unplug the Router and the modem from power. Plug the modem in first, then plug the router in 30 seconds later. Then turn on the computer and connect to the network.
