The Bank is Wells Fargo, Woodland Califronia.

I live in Woodland Ca.

There was cashier check, Money order that I was depositing into my account. What I was told that they were (FAKE) So after 5 day they closed my accounts because the Wells Fargo Bank, thought I was do fraud on my accounts. I told them that it was not my fault. So when I though the money was in thae account I paid some of my bills and spend some on a trip. When I got back thats when I found out about this. Wells Fargo Bank, went into my account and took every deposit I had. Then they charge my fees because the account was overdrawn. There is a police report and one of the officer went to the Wells Fargo Bank, and told them that I was a victim. Now they been calling me beacuse they want there money back I told them NO that I am not paying this bill. So can you help me or not?

Dollar Amount Was $ 5,000.00

Accepted Answer

Thanks, Chris. We can provide information about your options.

The first that comes to mind is small claims court. In California, individuals can file lawsuits for amounts of 7,500 dollars or less at a special court that operates on a fast schedule with relaxed procedures. You do not need a lawyer to use small claims court.

Here's a link to the California court system's small claims information page:
http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/smallclaims/scqna.htm

If you sue for a greater amount, or otherwise wish to engage a lawyer, you can get a referral to a local specialist through the San Fernando Valley Bar Association's referral service:
Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
FAX: XXX-XXX-XXXX
e-mail: referrals@sfvba.org
Web site: http://www.SFVBA.org

If you cannot afford a lawyer, you may qualify for free legal services. Some agencies to contact include:

Neighborhood Legal Services: http://www.nls-la.org/

Public Counsel http://www.publiccounsel.org/

Even if these organizations cannot take your case, they may know another agency that can help. So please ask, even if you are not taken on as a client.

I wish you resolution in this matter.

Sincerely,
XXXXXXXX XXXXX
