Question

Try again!! I have the aquarius WD440 1400SPIN WASH&DRY 5KG washer, and not pleased. A 40'c cycle has made holes in our clothes as it takes nearly 2 hours. Is there any way to get kids clothes clean without such a long cycle. My mums washer also aquarius has time saver button-which mine has but only works with 50'c wash-that shrunk my sons clothes. Very unhappy with this machine-only 2 yr old. Any way I can do a 40'c load without having holes in my clothes-or smaller items?

Hi

Morden machines today take alot longer then older machines as they say they are more econimical to run but to do this they take longer to wash. An 40 degs wash on programme F is 1hour 45 min. As to useing a 60deg and useing fast wash button and turning the dial to 40 deg this will work as you can go down in tempurture just not up.

As to the holes in the clothes. Make sure the metal drum hasnt split of got any thing sharp poking through it.

If thats fine then make sure it isnt over loaded.

Is it delicates stuff thats getting holes. If it is its because the spin is to fast for them so what happens is as it spins the clothes get sucked in to the little holes in the drum causing them to rip. So if washing delicate items they need a slow spin.

Hope this is of some help for you. If you need anymore info just get back to me.

Thankyou very much for your reply. I have considered overloading it,I'm very pleased to hear if you turn dial to 40.c that is the temp it will stay at.

So in future I shall make sure I dont overload machine, and wash on a different cycle with dial turned to 40. Thankyou!!!!
