Question

If you get a divorce from someone can they use the lawyer you used before for the same reason? And the fact that they keep finding reasons to postponed the divorce to be able to use medical insurance even after almost 2 years of being split up (divorce going on for almost 6 months with no children involved, only debt) due to spouse having beyond excellent insurance. the surgeries are due to supposedly a malpractice deal with a doctor from before the marriage and they are claiming they are suing the doctor, yet won't seem to let the divorce happen causing missed work, not to include the degree of debt the this person has put me in to include the irs due to pulling money out of 401k for a house and at the closing due to not being able to be ther put in their name only and it was an old married last name to top it off. Still getting their med bills and their kids. Is there anything I can do, can I sue them or something?

Thanks for your question.You can argue here that there is a confict at the divorce hearing.If the lawyer previously represented you this is a good argument.You have the right to divorce and fair division of assets and debts from the marriage.You can represent yourself here on your own in no lawyer--this is called pro se.

I knew that much atleast. The problem is more than that as they continues to try to postponed to use medical coverage for a problem they're suing for and refuses to give anything up. took it all and lies about having some things then says does , then uses OP's as a way to keep me from getting my things, proven to be lies. they keeps drawing it out and continuosly has surgeries postponing the divorce and costing me more with my job and med bills as I keep getting the bills. Is there anything I can do when it comes to her lawyer or them legally? THis is not the first time they've done this to someone

All you can do here is to seek to have the matter set for final hearing here.This really isn't a fair fight because they have the PO and lawyer and you don't . A lawyer here would be able to challenge and get this back on track here.If you have to represent yourself here then it would be you asking for preferential setting to resolve and complete.You can file such a motion with the court askign for expeditied setting for final hearing.RayAnswers40126.9085383102

You are going to hand draft motion.Get case number, names, off the top of petition here--its called the style of the case.Title it motion for expedited setting.Set out the need for expedited setting and the dire circumstances that require this to be heard asap and the harm that delay has cause to you.sign it and file it here.copy the other side.You have to improvise as this isn't available premade ..
