Thank you, the trap was a spring type that closed on his foot, I was close by an heard him yelp so i ran and released him, his foot is ok, no open wounds, he is doing well except for i think he tried too bite open the trap and broke his big canine tooth half off, he keeps running his tongue over it and opening and closing his mouth alot

Thank you for the additional information. The poor baby! I am glad that his foot is ok, but the tooth will have to be removed. I think there may be some nerve exposed, which is very painful. It would be best if you could get him in with his vet in the morning so that they can at least examine him and get him some pain medicines. Take his food away before bed tonight and don't feed him in the morning, you might luck out and they can pull the tooth tomorrow. This will require sedation, which will be safer is he has not eaten. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. If this has been helpful, please hit the green accept button. Best of luck with your handsome man, I hope he feels better soon :)
