Hello,

I am sorry your puppy is not feeling well.

What makes you think she is painful?

How does her incision look?

Did your vet send you home with any medicines?

Let me know and I will try to help.......

The incision looks fine, but every now and then she start moving in a jerky mode and she cries very softly, she almost sounds like a cat meowing

Accepted Answer

Thanks for the additional information. Since she is so uncomfortable, she should be seen by her vet again right away. This might be normal post op discomfort, or something could be going on. One of her internal sutures may have slipped, or she could have an adhesion (where tissue surrounding the uterine stumps become sealed together). I feel that discomfort should be addressed immediately, and there really isn't much you can give or buy over the counter to ease pain that is safe. If you cannot get her to an emergency vet this evening, restrict her activity and have her seen by her vet first thing in the morning. If her gums are pale, she does not eat or drink normally and her belly is tense and painful, she needs to be seen immediately and cannot wait until the morning. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. If this has been helpful, please hit the green accept button. Best of luck with your pup, I hope she feels better soon :)
