Hi, here are the answers in blue:

1. f(x)=3x^2-30x+76 The vertex = (5,1)
Line of symmetry is: a. y=-1 b. y=1 c. x=5 d. x=-5
The maximum of f(x)= 1The value of f(5)=1 minimum

2. f(x)=1/4(x+1)^2+9 The vertex = (-1,9) Line of symmetry x=-1 Maximum/minimum value of f(x)=9 Is the value, f(-1)=9, a minimum or maximum?

3. x^2-5x+5=0 Exact solutions are = (5+√5)/2 , (5-√5)/2
The approximate solutions to 3 decimal places are x= 3.618, 1.382

4. f(x)=3(x-3)^2 The vertex =(3,0)
Line of symmetry x=3

5. y^2-20y+100=1 What are the exact solutions y= 9,11

6. A=5s^2, fors. Choose for correct value for s.
a. sqrtA/5
b. -sqrtA/5
c. A/5
d. Not given

7. Solve 4x+x(x-1)=0
What are the solutions? -3,0
What are they x-intercepts? (-3,0),(0,0)

8. x^2-18=0 Choose the nature of the solutions of the equation.
a. 2 imaginary solution
b. 1 real solution
c. 2 real solutions

9. x^2+1/2x=1 What is the solution?
(-1+√17)/4 , (-1-√17)/4

10. (x+6)^2=1 What are the exact solutions? x= -7, -5

11. f(x)=x^2-4x-6 What is the vertex =(2,-10)
Line of symmetry x=2 Maximum/minimum of f(x)=-10

12. Solve 2x^2=6.
What are the solutions x= -√3,√3
What are they x-intercepts x= (-√3,0),(√3,0)

13. f(x)=1/2x^2 What is the vertex? (0,0)(type an ordered pair)
Line of symmetry x=0 Is the value f(2) a minimum or a maximum

Bonus is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Steve

Hello Steve,

I have one more problem that I accidentaly omitted.

It's: 7x^2=-26x-15

Solve for x=

Sure:

7x^2=-26x-15

7x^2+26x+15=0

x= [-26±√(26^2-4*7*15)]/14= [-26±16]/14

x= -5/7 or x= -3

Answer: -5/7, -3

Thanks

Steve
