Question

Can I sue someone for mental sress, my husbands family has been putting him thru alot of stress.. we just lost guarianship over his mother,she is competent... and his brother as taken over everything,,deed of home all assets,and POA... and they both want it that way.. but they did all this without my husbands knowledge and has cause him and my family a lot of stress and sleepless nights... not only that, his mother has dis owned him for no good reason, my husbands brother and his wife and kids have put her against us for no good reason..so is there anything i can do about this.

Answer

Unless you have physical injury or financial loss, I do not see a successful claim. You can try to pursue one through a lawyer but I would not sue.

actually it might have caused some finacial lost

we have rental property that started going downhill within the last few years and that could be due to not being able to take care of the property properly, because of all the mental stress it has caused,on us.. would this be something we could go for..

Thanks for the additional information. In light of that, you can pursue a claim before suing, try to press for settlement through a lawyer.
