Question

On my Windows Vista computer I just downloaded Quicken 2010 (with Willmaker - which I don't need, but it comes anyway) Now I can't call up my old version of Quicken 2009; the Quicken 2010 doesn't load: and the Willmaker clutters up the screen with all sorts of registration and other garbage. When I call up Quicken 2009, all I get is an error message about can't unlock Quicken - and the only way to kill the error message is with Ctrl/Alt/Del and Task Manager. All I wanted was your latest version of Quicken - not a lot of trrouble. Have used Quicken since 1994, and haven't had this much trouble upgrading. How do I delete 2010, Willmaker and start over. Right now My bookkeeping records arre in limbo!! If necessary, telephone is XXX XXX XXXX.

Downloaded Quicken 2010 as directed. Registered as requested (Willmaker)Placed icon on desktop. Only program to show up when icon clicked was Willmaker. Don't want or need it; want Quicken 2010. Tried to delete entire program thru Control Panel. Now can't call up either Quicken 2009 or 2010.

Hello.

Have you tried reinstalling Quicken 2009 by itself? Ignore 2010 for the moment and simply reinstall 2009 and see if that helps. When you uninstalled 2010, you may have uninstalled all Quicken programs collectively.

Check in the Control Panel and make sure that nothing from Quicken is listed, and then install 2009 again and see if this resolves the problem.
