Optional Information

State/Country relating to Question: Oklahoma

Already Tried:
one party seems to think that the receiving parent is always the non-custodial parent. However if the documents contemplated this, whey would they use a different terms such as receiving parent. It would seem to me that the receiving parent is always the parent who does not have the children at the current moment. so if the non-custodial parent is the receiving parent to pick up on fridays while the custodial parent then becomes the receiving parent and the end of the visitation on sundays

Accepted Answer

The receiving parent is the one taking the custody over--it may or may not be the non-custodial parent. If the custodial parent sends the child to the non-custodial parent, then the non-custodial parent is the receiving parent. When the non-custodial parent sends the child back, the custodial parent becomes the receiving parent.

That means that whomever is picking up the child is responsible for transportation.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXX, Esq.
