Hello. Thanks for writing in. Is she having frequent attempts to urinate? Any attmepts to urinate with very little to no urine coming out? Any blood in the urine? Any increase in drinking?

FREQUENT ATTEMPTS TO URINATE WITH A SMALL AMOUNT. NO OBVIOUS BLOOD. SHE HAS INCREASED URINATION.

Thanks for the information. I suspect that she has a urinary tract infection. In older dogs, you always have to worry about a metabolic disease, such as diabetes and Cushing's disease (adrenal glands), that can predispose them to bladder infections. Bladder stones and bladder wall tumors are also very likely. I would get her in to be seen by your vet today. They should at least run some bloodwork and a urinalysis on her. An x-ray may be indicated to rule out bladder stones or an ultrasound to rule out a bladder tumor if indicated. Antibiotics most likely will be prescribed, at the very least. They may also recommend a urine culture. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.
