Dear shaw,

 

I am not finding any statute requiring you to have an attorney, rather that going it pro se. Of course, going pro se means you really need to get up to speed on the court procedure of that particular court, and while not always necessary to find case law exactly on point, if you can find something close enough to persuade the court as to your point, it makes for better chances at winning. YOu can subscrime to LexisNexis or Westlaw for your research, even on a daily or weekly basis.
