We do have one small problem. Your system by default comes 512MB (512 Megabytes or Random Access Memory) RAM. The *minimum* requirements to run Windows 7 is 1024MB or RAM or 1 Gigabyte (Gig) or Ram. Without physically installing more memory, your system won't be able to run the new operating system.

There are a couple of options.

We could add another 512 stick which gives you 2*(512) , or 1 Gig of system memory. Which just meets the minimum requirements. Or you could add a 512 and a 1 Gig to give you 1.5 Gigs of memory. Or you could install 2 1 Gig sticks to toal 2. Your machine can handle a max of 4 Gigs but I do not recommend going this high as this may cause problems and is an unecessary amount of memory for what you need.

Which route would you like to take?

I think you could get away with the 2 (512) but you could install the 2 (1 Gig) options.
