I replyed about two hours ago and haven't seen any feedback.....so I will reply again. I asked my mother to look through her received mail and see if there is a notice of foreclosure. She did receive a notice of Trustee sale for October 27th, 2009 which has come and gone. She received a notice on November 4 which indicated that the property was now REO and she had until the tenth to vacate. Please send a reply to the email address in my profile as well as to my internet email... XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX or call me at XXXXXXXXXX /p>
Thank You,
Ted
thank you for posting again, as you can see above I never received your previous reply. Unfortunately JA restricts our communications to the JA platform so I cannot call you or email to another address. Your mother can stay until November 10th, if she remains in the property longer than that the owner will file suit to evict her from the premises and that process would likely take another 15-30 days.
To get your $3000 dollars back from the law firm, you would first have to send a written demand requesting repayment for their failure to carry out the duties described in your agreement with them. Give them 30 days to issue repayment, if they do not comply, you would have to file suit in small claims court, and could report the law firm to the Bar's ethics commission.
