scan indicates TROJ_GEN.SFB threat. Infected file: A9 installer_77013615(2)exe. Following directions on what to do I may have accidently uninstalled Trend Micro. Was renewed in 7/14/09.

Yes - they tell me my email address is not in the system, have been using Trend Micro for years. AS I states in last message I may have accidently uninstalled trying to follow directions concerning TROJ_GEN.SFB threat.

was it trend mico that found the trojen and gave you the instructions for removing it? hopefully yes. there are some spyware that will pretend to be antivirus programs and pretend to find virus and exthort you to pay them money to remove them some of the nastier versions disable other virus protection.

this will give you 30 days of protection while you send emails back and forth with trend micro to get your subscription found. if you registered the product under your name they should be able to find it. There are several methods to contact trend micro including live chat they are available on the bottom of the page here

Years ago when first anti virus installed could be under the name of Lauren Henderson, therefore my name (Jean Henderson) could possibly be the reason for not finding email address in your system. Give it a try.

ok it is not MY system. we are a third party company that is just trying to get you answers and point you in the right direction. trend micro is the place that would have your payment information. the links in previous posts should allow you to download a trial version of trendmicro software so that you can be protected now

I don't quite understand your answer - was the trojen virus found and fixed or do I have to correct the situation of my email address not being in the system first. I don't want to pay for something that did not work or get me any answers.

i have given you the answers. from here i can not tell if the virus was fixed. your original question was how to get trend micro working and how to get your subsription renewed. if you follow the links above you can reinstall the trend micro. then run a scan. if it does not find the virus again then it was fixed. if it does find it again then you can follow the trend micro instructions to remove it again.

 

please try the steps i have given you and then come back and hit accept if you now have a working anti virus program and no virus. :-)

Did you send the instructions to my email address or is it one of the above with your anwers? They appear to me as being getting the trend micro back on the system. I have not left this page to check anything else.

i do not know your email nor am i allowed to know it.

those are links to where you need to go to

a. get the trend micro installed again

b. speak with trend micro to get your license for the software valid after the 30 day trial period

 

you will need to click on those links and download and install the software from the first link. then run a scan with the trend micro program that it installs.

you can then click on the second link and select a way to communicate with trend micro directly to find your license so that you can receive updates.
