Good morning. Since she now has an ownership interest in your house, you cannot force her to give it back. You will have to have her voluntarily quit claim deed it to you...probably by offering her some payment or other incentive. BUT, having said that, if she wants to play hardball, what you do have going for you is this...as an owner, she is obligated to pay her share of all the expenses related to the house...mortgage, taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, etc. So, tell her if she does not transfer the ownership back, she needs to pay for 1/2 of all these expenses. If she does not, file suit against her, get your judgment and then you can attach her assets (including her bank accounts) and/or garnish her wages to collect your judgment.
