Question

Last night, I felt a small bump on my labia. It feels like a tiny ball in the labia. It's not discolored or even visible and is a little tender. I also noticed that the area I believe is called the inguinal area is a bit tender when I press on one area. The bump and the tender area are not close to one another, but both on my left side. I have not shaved or waxed in several weeks and I have not been sexually active for more than a year, but have been in the past. What could it be?

HI and thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having this problem. Your bump may be a cyst or it may ben an ingrown hair which has become a bit infected. Try applying warm compresses to the area for relief. Your lymph node may be enlarged due to this inflammed ingrown hair. If it seems to bother you more or doesn't resolve in a day or two you may need some antibiotics, so please do see your GYN.
