i was in Clearlake Iowa with a group '' dead celebrity tours '' to celebrate ''Buddy Holly 50 years later '' .in late January and into the 9th of february . On returning from one of the concerts / talks which took place in the local school we ( a group of about nine people) decided to walk back to the hotel , (the best Western) as we walked on the pavement ( which had been partly cleared of snow and ice ) i slipped on a patch of ice and broke my ankle . The hotel sent their shuttle bus to pick me up and take me to the hotel . They sent for the ambulance / paramedics who then took me to mercy hospital Mason City where i underwent an operation the next day ( January 31 st ) to put screws into the inside of my ankle and a plate into the other side ! I was flown home on the scheduled flight and had to get the plaster cast checked there . I got another plaster cast on three weeks from the date of the op and had it removed mid march ish . I have had Physio therapy but i am still unable to wear shoes with a heel and certainly could,nt jive anymore . I still take pain killers and a homeopathic medication whicK is prescribed by the doctor .
Any thing else i should have said ?

First let me say before the accident this sounds like an amazing trip.I am a lifetime Buddy Holly fan.I have visited his grave and musuem and have met his briother in the airport in Lubbock.

At any rate here is legitmate lawyer referral.This would be personal injury lawyer that you need here.They take these on contingency and you would not pay unless they collect.Sorry you got hurt here.

you are right ther about buddy Holly !! we went to the crash site too , and saw many concerts and some of the old singers in the Surf Ballroom .( got my pic taken with Bobby Vee ) I have always been a fan !! and it was a wonderful trip .Went to Eddie cochranes museum too ( in a wheelchair ) . and so to business
