I've been on over the counter meds around the clock for the last 3 days...and Tamiflu which my doctor prescribed. I'm starting to feel a lot better. I'm just wondering when I will no longer be contagious.

Answer

Hello,

I am glad you are starting to feel better!

The current recommendations are for people diagnosed with H1N1 to remain home for 24 hours after your fever has resolved in order to prevent spread.
So in your case, you are safe to return to work, etc tomorrow (Fri) as long as your fever does not return.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions,

So, I have tickets to a comedy show for tonight (thurs night) that I would love to go to but don't want to go if there's a chance I'm still contagious. Your thoughts?

Accepted Answer

If it has been over 24 hours since the fever broke, then you would be safe.
If it is under 24 hours or close to 24 hours, I would not go...in the interest of protecting others.
If you are taking fever reducers, then you cannot judge exactly when the fever resolved either and it would be safest for others for you to stay home.
