Question

thinking about bankrupsy - lost my job 4 years ago - am earning roughly half (32,000) of what I used to - refinanced my house and am now upside down and running out of money - still current, but not for long. Any chance of keeping my home if I file for bankrupsy?

Good morning,

I'm sorry to hear of your dilemma.

If you file for chapter 13 Bankruptcy you can keep your home by simply agreeing to continue paying the mortgage on time. All of your non-secured consumer debts can be discharged then.

See a bankruptcy attorney soon to get the process going and get a fresh start financially.

I wish you well.

Thank you very much for having allowed me to assist you. It would be greatly appreciated if you would click the green Accept icon so that I can receive credit for having assisted you.

Best regards,

Doug
