If you had the pup less then 10 days then it is likely that he was exposed to the virus at the breeder.
This should fall under the pet lemon law in the UK.
I would contact your breeder inform them what has happened and request not only that they return all monies paid for the puppy but all medical bills as well.
I would contact your local animal control or Humane society and see who you would file a formal complaint with regarding this situation.
They want to know when breeders sell sick puppies, and may do a home visit to view the area all puppies are being kept
