have not loaded any upgrades

The file that is used to store these addresses is located in the following folder:
C:\Documents & Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft \Outlook
There will be a file called Outlook.NK2 where
If this file becomes corrupt or unusable, the addresses are no longer accessible.
We can attempt to perform all updates on Microsoft Office. This may correct the problem, however it's not likely.
To perform the update steps, please go to the website:
http://update.microsoft.com
Perform a scan, and download and install any required updates for Windows or Office. Once that is completed, please reboot and check Outlook again.
