Hello,

It sounds like you have had a bad experience with doctors in the past....
Have you had the whitish patch looked at before? The green discharge?

yes and the doc just gave me antibiotics for the discharge. it never did anything as i dont think it was infection.the white patch has only appeared in the past 6 months.

Answer

Hmmm,

Well, green discharge is usually due to infection but if it didn't go away, you are correct that further investigation is warranted. You need to have vaginal/cervical swabs done that are sent to the lab to rule out infections (your doctor may have done this).

If all these are negative, you should have an ultrasound of the uterus to rule out any uterine abnormalities (polyps, etc) and your ovaries need to be checked since you are having pain in the right lower abdomen. If all these are normal and your pain in the right lower abdomen persists, then you may need a CT of the abdomen.

The white patch in the vagina needs to be biopsied if it doesn't scrape off. It may be signs of HPV (a viral infection).

I am sorry you are not feeling well. I hope that your next physician will truly listen to you and will order these tests for you. I do believe they are warranted in your case, given what you have described.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

thankyou for your answer.one thing that i really would want to know would be if any of it is cancerous.could this be possible?

Accepted Answer

Well,
At your age, it would be less likely. It is a possibility, though (just going by your description of a white raised patch), and that is why it sounds like it needs biopsy.

Cancers of the female genital tract are usually caused by the HPV virus. The HPV virus is very slow growing and takes many, many years to change from a precancerous to a cancerous growth.

For that reason, if there is something abnormal, it is more likely to be a precancerous rather than a cancerous growth since you have not had this for years and years.

And please remember that I am not looking at the area. It could be something that a doctor would look at and say "oh, no, that is a benign cyst" or something along those lines....
