Question
Gentlemen, I have a 1994 jaguar XJS V12. For the last few days my car seems to loose power and the rev counter drops to zero for a few seconds, but the car does not stall. The car only has 80,000 miles. What in your expert opinion do you think could be the problem? The computer does not indicate any problem. Thanks, Ev.

Accepted Answer
If the fuel system becomes restricted (plugged fuel filter), or low fuel pressure (caused by restricted filter/or fuel pump) As a rule of thumb I would change the filter first! Remember change in weather (temps/moisture/hot /cold) effects the filter restrictions! And in most cases will not set a engine code untill it is causing a total lean condition to occur. Then it will most likely set off a code for lean condition! Thanking you in advance!
