Question
My 16 year old son was in an at fault accident, in our company car. The victim’s lawyers want an affidavit of assets from all of us including our company that is incorporated and any investments we may have. Do we have to give them this information?

Accepted Answer
the victims lawyer can ask for any documents they wish in a civil suit, a financial affidavit is usual practice, to see what assets you may have, you do not have to complete it as it is, if your lawyer objects to it through the court. The court could then limit the disclosure to only issues pertinent to the case.
