today I received a notice that my computer is infected. I do have McAfee until next year. How do I get rid of the virus?

Hello !!

Dont worry, thats not a real warning. Thats fake websites that warn you and make you buy their fake antivirus softwares and even malwares.

To make sure that your system is not infected with such malwares please do this


Please download - click here >> Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following:

    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

  • Then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. The rogue application should now be gone.

Press Ctrl+D to save this page as Favorite/Bookmark so that you can click on it to reach me after you restart computer.

Restart your computer now and let it load normally. And see if problem persists.

on the list that you sent me I did fine until program loaded and I couldn't find to click Scan to Show Results, I got lost there somewhere. I even went thru the process 3 times.

I just went thru the whole program and my computer automatically restarted but all the same stuff came back on> Jenkat, new game alert;, antivirus system pro and spyware..

It took me 3 trys to even reply to you.

Hi !!

Now please do this :

Press Ctrl+D to save this page as Favorite/Bookmark so that you can click on it to reach me after you restart computer.

1. Start > Run > type msconfig [press Enter]
2. goto Services tab.
3. Click on the ‘Hide All Microsoft Services’ box at the bottom of the
screen so that it has a tick in it. The window in the middle of the screen
should change when you do this. It may take a few seconds to take
effect.
4. Then click the ‘Disable All’ button on the bottom right. It should un-tick
all the boxes now visible.
5. Now goto startup tab.
6. Then click the ‘Disable All’
7. Click APPLY.
8. Click Restart.

9. The computer will restart. Upon restarting, you will see a window.
10. Put a tick in the box ‘Don’t show this message or launch…’ and click
the ‘OK’ button.

Then see if the problem persists.

Let me know.

All it says in the small taskbar is startsearch. I went into the help box and changed the task bar to start and run, but it didn't take.

I am going nuts! The antivirus and porn sites are constantly popping up and I have to continually start over.

Do you have WINDOWS key on your keyboard ?

Press that key (keep pressed) and press R key once. ... Run box should open

I got as far as apply, but don't see restart, it could be uner the JENKAT alert in the bottom corner

Then restart computer.
