Hello,

Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question. Stomach ulcers are caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. There are several treatment protocols, but most include at least an acid reducer and an antibiotic to reduce stomach acid and kill the bacteria. The acid reducer is then continued for several weeks to allow the stomach lining to completely heal.
