Question

I am being sued for a 2000 contract where I had to fire another lawyer for services that were not renered the day of court.I hired this lawyer to keep me out of jail and that he told me for an additional 10,000.00 then he would keep me out of jail so i fired him the day of court. does the statue of limitations qualify here?

Thanks for your question.It might very well be valid defense here to be asserted by you in this matter.In Arkansas the staute of limitations on written contract is faive years, oral is less. Here is reference here, this might well be a good angle to assert here to seek dismissal..
