Hello,

Bad moms come in all species.........which does not really answer your question, but that is basicly what it boils down to. She is basicly warning you away from the puppies. Some dogs will use the puppies as a threat to keep you away, and if she feels threatened or feels the litter is threatened in anyway she will kill them. This is fairly common in all breeds, but the Terrier breeds are more common with this issue.

Your only option at this point is to pull the pups. Basically remove her from the puppies and care for them yourself. This is not a easy task, but if you fail to do so she will likely kill the rest of the litter over the next few days.

Here is a site with all the information you will need on how to feed and care for these puppies. Please Click Here

Make sure above all else that you keep her 100% separated from the puppies at all times. I would advise you to call her vet and inquire about a sedative to help her remain calm over the next few days as this will be pretty traumatic for her. I would also advise you to have her spayed as soon as she has recuperated to prevent her being bred again as this is something that will continue even with other litters.
