Question

I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended on my Vista 64-bit machine. Adobe makes you install the Akamai Download Manager. The download process gives me the error: Failed removing the '.dlm' extension from the file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\APEX9_Win_WEB_WWEFG.exe.dlm System Error: Access is denied Do you know what this error is, and can you help fix it? Already Tried:
I have previously downloaded Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. I had problems installing it last year but got it working somehow. I don't have a trail of how I made it work. The program stopped working 2 weeks ago and I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. The program and the Akamai Download Manager are both installed but I can't open them, and the OS doesn't recocgnize their file types.

Accepted Answer

You need to right click the Akamai Download Manager and select "run as administrator". You should now be able to install it.

 

Please let me know if it still doesn't work.
