This started a week ago, it happens when I wake up in the morning. Today it felt like the tingling would not go away. No injuries, I do now work very hard with my hands, wrist areas. I have a thyroid condition that I take med. for. No invesagations, like i said it just started. No other medical issues that I am aware of.I am a 37 yr old female.

Accepted Answer

Thanks for the additional details. From your description, with a history of

  1. thyroid problem
  2. hard work

and that you are a female, this could be the beginning of a condition called “carpal tunnel syndrome”. Please have a look at this site which will provide authentic information and I think that it could be quite helpful to you:

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunnel/detail_carpal_tunnel.htm

Having said that, peripheral neuropathy could be the other possibility.

Unless checked up, it would difficult to establish the cause for this problem. Hence I think that it would be prudent to check in with your doctor, so that the cause may be established and an appropriate care provided.

I hope that this helps. Best wishes. Please feel free to enquire if you have any remaining queries or doubts as it would be a privilege to help you as much as I can.
