Hello,
Many breeders dock the tail before the sale of litters so there is a good likelihood that you will not have a problem finding one without a tail. Depending on your area if tail docking is hard to get done then you may have better luck looking in a state or city where there are more vets who will do the procedure.

If it is illegal in your area for a docked tail then it is advisable to NOT purchase one. While you may still be able to locate them online from breeders who disregard the law the reality is you can and will still be fined and may lose the dog when the dog needs to be seen by the vet. There is also the very real possibility that if someone sees you with the dog with a docked tail that they can report this as well and you still be fined even if your vet makes the choice to not turn it in.
While you may still locate one, it is not advisable for you to purchase one if it is illegal in your area.
