Question

I'm taking Vicodin and Flomax for a kidney stone (diagnosed and prescribed by my local ER early Monday morning) and drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day, but the Vicodin is still causing constipation. Last bowel movement was Monday at 3 AM. Is it safe to take an OTC laxative for this?

Accepted Answer

Greetings.

Yes, You can take an OTC laxative with these medications and with a kidney stone. Increased fiber diet in the form of salads, fruits and vegetables also would be helpful.
