Question

I recently had a kitten about 10-12 weeks show up on my door step on Halloween night. She eats fine but she seem to drink a lot of water. Is it normal for a kitten to do that? Her skin goes back into place when pulled so I know she is not dehydrated, and she is active.

Yes she eats dry food and we give her wet food in the morning.

Accepted Answer

Dear friend,

I would not worry about the water consumption unless she stops eating or gets diarrhea. Some kittens that eat dry food do drink a lot.

Check inside her mouth for a stuck item or any abnormalities.

As long as she is eating well she is fine but I would have a vet check her stool for parasites.

Please let me know how she is doing. May God bless you for saving her!

Warmest best wishes,

Terri
