Already Tried:
unistalling the "USB Root hub" and reinstalling it. Obviously that won't work if the registry itself is damaged. what else can I do???

It didn't help at all. Is there any way to fix it other than reinstalling it? I have Windows 7 and apparently Microsoft does not have any apps for fixing registries
