Question

I have had a malware program, Antivirus System PRO, install itself on my PC. I asked earlier for help to remove it and was told to download Malbytes Anti-Malware program. I did so, but it did not detect or remove the malware program, which continues to interrupt my work with false security alerts and asking for me to pay. I have McAfee AntiVirus installed, but it also fails to detect/remove the malware. The last solution didn't work, but I paid about $20 for the answer! So now I have two questions: 1) How do I remove Antivirus System PRO, and 2) How do I apply for a refund for the previous answer? Thank you for your help, which I DESPERATELY need!

Save the file which should have name HJTinstall.exe

Double click on the downloaded setup file to install it. After installing it, click on the HijackThis icon on your desktop to run the application. Scan with it selecting the option "Do a system scan & save a logfile".

The log will be generated as soon as you scan, in a text file. Please copy all the contents of this log carefully & paste them to update this conversation.

It took several attempts, but I was able to do the scan and create the file. It seems the malware didn't want it to run! However, I can't seem to copy the data. I hit the "Analyze This" button, but I'm not sure where the data goes.

As to paying for the other answer, I thought I had to in order to get it! I'll just chalk it up to experience and know better next time.

better start your computer in safe mode to perform these steps.

Perform the steps carefully to clean your computer. You can copy these steps in a notepad file or take printout of it for your ease.

(1) press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Escape (you have to press these three buttons at a time) on your keyboard to open Task Manager. In task manager you can see the all running process in your computer.

Close all the processes mentioned in bold below.

djptsysguard.exe
rundll32.exe

To close them right click on each of them & click End Process.

A message will appear. Click Yes to close it. The process will be killed. Perform this for every process mentioned in BOLD. (there may be the case that you won't find any particular process in the task manager list. In that case please move to next mentioned process)

(2) After killing all above processes, the most important thing is to close all your web browsers (internet explorer in your case).

(3) search for the following folder in your computer & delete it when found.

C:\Documents and Settings\Weber\Local Settings\Application Data\flrhpq

if it is not being deleted you can use Unlocker apllication to delete the folder

(5) now please run HijackThis (by double clicking HijackThis desktop icon).

Click "Do a system scan only". A scan result will be shown with checkboxes. Search & checkmark all the entries which are mentioned below in BOLD.

Press Fix Checked to fix them.

Please scan again to make sure that all the entries are fixed.

Restart the PC. Run a complete scan with MalwareBytes to see if it still finds any errors. Fix them if found.

After restart see if the problem persists. If yes, just copy & paste fresh HijackThis log & send it to me. I will inform you if any entry remained to fix.
