There are a few different kinds of ANCA. P-ANCA, c-ANCA etc.
ANCA is one of the blood test that is done to rule out or diagnose certain conditions, such as lupus, systemic vascular disease, .certain kidney diseases.
The normal level for ANCA (antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies) is zero. A higher level indicates a problem that has to be investigated.
Usually this blood test is done when the patient presents with a problem, so that is what the doctor can focus on with this test.

What type of dr should I bring my daughter to that had this 12.6 anca. She has had numerous medical problems since she was 10. Unrelenting migraines that last 7 days are the main one. But also gastric problems, heat sensitivity, chest pain when she gets a migraine. Dr ran a test to see if she had IBS, that is where the 12.6 ANCA results came from, but test showed she is negative for IBS.
