Question

I'm buying a puppy from a breeder in another state and the breeder advised me that the dog has developed a cough. The dog is being shipped via plane tomorrow. The breeder says the dog is on a nebulizer and she will also send antibiotics should I be concerned with this as the dog is only 11 weeks old?

Hello. Thanks for writing in. I would be concerned about shipping a puppy on a plane if she is sick enough to be on a nebulizer. We usually use this treatment for dogs with pneumonia. Before shipment, I would discuss this with the breeder. It may not be a good idea to send a puppy over the plane if really sick, until she is better. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.
