Question

My MS outlook has stopped working for no apprent reason. It only says "Cannot Open" thats it. i live off the address book in there. any and all help is needed

Could you clarify if you are getting the following error message:
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set folders could not be opened. The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.

sorry but that is the exact error message being made "Cannot Start Microsoft Office Outlook, Cannot open the Outlook window" that is all i get regurdless of how many times i shut system down or try to bang on keyboard

Thanks for the clarification ...now, please go to Start > Run, and type in the following:
Outlook.exe /resetnavpane
(Make sure to include the single space just before '/')

Check if this resolves the issue you are having with Outlook thereafter.

yes that did the job. can you tell me how it came about to start with. also another problem... one drunk night i deleted my path to my recycle bin and i can't find it.

It looks like some of your profile files for the navigation pane in Outlook had gotten corrupt, causing the issue.

As for the Recycle Bin, I assume the icon for the same is no longer present on your desktop? If so, what's your operating system?

Okay ...now, please right-click on a free area on your desktop, then select 'Personalize'; in the window that comes up, click on 'Change desktop icons' in the left panel, then check the 'Recycle Bin' option. Hit 'Apply', and presto!
