What you are describing does not sound like a heart attack. Although you didn't think you were anxious, if you were vigilant enough to check your oxygen level then your body most likely was feeling anxiety.

The only serious thing that I would think about checking out is to make sure there are not problems with your aorta. This can be done often with a simple x-ray. One of the side effects of the implanon would be pulmonary embolism but typically this does not present with pain although it does present with breathlessness and an increased heart rate.

If you start feeling breathless, if one of your legs swells, or if your symptoms get much worse then you should go to the emergency room to get it checked out.

It is important to realize that my recommendation is being made just on what you described alone. Without examining you I cannot say certainly that any of this can be going on. Taking this into consideration I think it would be okay for you to try to relax and see what happens. Again, I reiterate that if anything changes or gets worse you NEED to go for help.
