Hi,
Can you tell us what happened when you tried the ALT+F10 key combination?
Thanks
Ok,
Can you tell me if this is what you saw
Edit windows boot options for: Microsoft Windows VistaPath: \Windows\system32\winload.exePartition: 2Hard Disk: d2431bca[ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN]
Let me know
In that case we have two options, The first would be for you to just order a set of Restore disks from Acer which you can get by following this link and will cost you the price of shipping if the machine is out of warranty https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=acer
The other option is to attempt to repair the recovery partition, however I cannot promise it will work as it is a very hit and miss process which depends on how badly the recovery partition is damaged.
Let em know which you prefer.
ThanksEric
The restore disk will take care of you and as a bonus it will also restore the factory restore partition so that if you have issues again in the future you will be able to use the Alt+F10 option.
If you need any help in the future just let us know
