Hello, yes you will need to uninstall the old Microsoft Office first (unless) you are going to buy the Upgrade Edition.
Microsoft Windows Outlook Express comes included with the Operating System and it can not be removed. So it will always be there.
The Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student comes with this.

This does (NOT) come with Outlook 2007. If you want the Outlook 2007, you will have to buy the Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition.
