Question

Diagnosed negative for herpes but my test results showed that I came in contact with someone that had it. Though i don't have herpes. What does this mean? Am I misunderstanding something?

HI and thank you for your question. If you have antibodies for Herpesthis means you have have been infected with herpes virus in the past. In the absence of an outbreak, you are not infectious and can not pass it to someone else. The herpes virus can lie dormant in your nerves and may never cause an outbreak as a matter of fact, most people in your situation never do have an outbreat. You may never have an outbreak even after being infected, a large proportion of people in fact never have an outbreak. I hope this answer helps you, if so, please click accept. Thank you and I wish you the best! :-)
