Hi and thank you for your question. When we see green stool is most often due to food passing more quickly through the intestine than it normally does ( Called rapid transit). Other causes may be malabsorption, crohn’s disease, laxative use and irritable bowel syndrome. High iron foods and purple food coloring can also turn the stool green. In the absence of other symptoms, It is probably nothing to be concerned about and can be attributes to rapid transit.
