Question

I must have parked in a handicap space, but I didn't see a posted sign, the parking sign posted was blocked by a van. The space I parked in with a motorcycle was on the left side of the space, and I thight it was just an area blocked off. Yes I'm I stupid, but I would never knowingly park in a handicap space. Is stupid a defense ? Is a blocked parking sign with a van that didn't have a parking sticker, seeing it after the act, a reason for my stuid act? Do I have any opening for a defense of a stupid act? Thank you

Accepted Answer

You are not stupid. You are a victim of circumstance. The blocked sign is not a defense. Pay the fine.
